This poem was sent by “RH Grenville” (Bea Rowley) to her step-son, Charles Rowley, for Christmas of 2005. Today, he sent me an email with wishes from his step-mother, who still lives quietly in Victoria, BC, and a note reminding me that ” this would be an appropriate time for her poem ‘The Holly and the Ivy’.” So right!
