Humphrey, Muriel Miller. “To Anne.” Canadian Mercury (Feb. 1929): 30.
You are my lovely poem.
You are more beautiful than my maiden poems
Locked in a secret book.
They are gossamer dreamings
Woven into pleasant sounding words.
They are my poems conceived of myself
Born of my flesh and my spirit.
You, my loveliest poem,
Are born of myself and another
.. .. .. .. Dear beyond all dreaming.
